Serving those who serve our nation

Your health is our mission

You have many options for health care in civilian life. It can be difficult to find the right choice for you and your family. But you gave our nation security, so you deserve to feel secure in your choices for your family’s health.

Kaiser Permanente is here to help make this important decision an easy one. We designed this website to guide you as you navigate health care, and we hope it helps you make the best decision possible.

Familiar integrated care system

Kaiser Permanente is built to provide care much like the military. Our medical centers, hospitals, and other health care facilities are all connected, with most services readily available in one location — just like military treatment facilities (MTFs).

Your doctors and specialists work with you and each other to personalize your care, and all your medical information is readily available in your digital health record.

Our doctors understand your service

Supporting our veterans and their families has been one of our core values since World War II. Many of our 300,000+ physicians,1 nurses,2 and employees3 are veterans themselves, so they understand your unique health needs and provide personalized care that honors your service. Our doctors practice in the Permanente Medical Groups (PMGs), which are physician-led, patient-focused, multispecialty medical groups that exclusively treat our members. The quality of care they provide is top-rated in every region we serve.4

VA integration and coordination

You keep full access to your VA benefits on top of our best-in-class care, so you and your family have the freedom to get care on your terms. We partner with the VA and Department of Defense to securely share your health information, which ensures seamless, connected care however you choose to receive it.

To strengthen this promise, we proudly signed the VA Interoperability Pledge to deliver the coordinated care that every veteran deserves.

A complete model of care you can trust

Coordinated care that serves you anytime, anywhere

We’re more than health care — we’re an integrated health system where every aspect of your care works together, so you don’t have to connect the dots.

In one trip to our medical centers, you can have an in-person primary care appointment, get bloodwork in the lab, and fill a new prescription in the pharmacy — all under one roof. Then you can have future refills delivered to your home and virtual follow-up appointments. Our care adapts to your lifestyle so you and your family can focus on living your best lives.

Save time and trips

We’re built to provide care much like the military. Just like MTFs, each of our 40 hospitals and 611 medical offices5 and other outpatient facilities offers many services under one roof, including primary care, specialty care, pharmacy, lab, radiology, and more.

Stay connected

Your medical history, past appointments, test results, and more are all stored on your digital health record — even the VA records you share with your provider. No matter where or how you access care, whether in person or through our virtual care options, your providers are up to date on your health so they can provide personalized care.

Access care 24/7

Get care when and where you need it with our comprehensive virtual care options, including phone and video appointments, e-visits, 24/7 nurse advice line and text chat, and more.
